Financing Options
If you qualify for the Assisted Home Performance Program or not, low interest financing is available.
- ENERGY STAR Financing:
Administered by, Energy Finance Solutions (1-800-361-5663), this unsecured loan is offered at 5.99% APR at terms of 3, 5, 7 or 10 years. A minimum loan value applies and the maximum available loan ranges from $15,000 to $20,000, depending on the homeowners credit qualifications. This financing option is only available for owner-occupied homes.
- New York Energy $mart Loan Fund:
This secured loan product is offered by a network of participating lenders. NYSERDA ‘buys–down’ the interest rates on these loans by 4 % over a maximum term of 10 years. A list of participating lenders is provided at http://www.getenergysmart.org.
- American General Financing (AGF).
Energy Finance Solutions and American General Finance have partnered to offer this unsecured loan that is available to homeowners occupying 1 to 2 unit properties. The AGF loan offers a 4.99% APR loan with a maximum term of 5 years and a maximum loan amount of $10,000.00.
10% incentive if you plan on paying for your energy efficiency measures yourself. The HFI is equal to 10% of all eligible measures that are installed by a participating contractor. The maximum HFI is $3,000 per household over the life of the program. The incentive is paid directly to homeowners by NYSERDA after receipt of a Certificate of Completion by the Program. The HFI cannot be combined with any other consumer incentive.
